We’ve got two internship positions opening up this summer:
- Software Developer – Should be smart, self-motivated, productive, and willing to learn new things. Also need to be friendly and a good communicator. You will use Perl, MySQL, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Subversion, Trac, Linux, and a bunch of other technologies every day; it’s all right if you don’t yet have experience with these technologies, but be ready to learn the minute you step in the door. Excellent software design and debugging skills are required above expertise in any one technology.
- Business/Marketing – Should be a creative thinker, with strong writing skills and a broad understanding of Web 2.0. We want someone who is self-motivated and innovative. A background in marketing or business is a plus, though we’ll consider applicants from any background. Having some research experience is also a huge positive.
Both positions are paid internships for the summer, with the possibility of full or part-time employment after the internship. Check out our jobs page for more information.

Howdy, folks!
It has been much too long since I posted on here, and I’m going to try to remedy that. In order to so, I would like to announce the beginning of a new ongoing series — We Celebrate Learning. In both my daily and professional life, being as how I’m a student and work for a educational technology company, I am constantly exposed to people and organizations that are constantly striving to help students learn better, and I want to spend some time talking about those that I find meaningful.
There will be several goals of this series:
- Profile people and companies that are making education work better for teachers and students
- Talk about the impact the people and companies are having on learning
- Talk about how these companies can be incorporated into how YOU teach.
A few people we plan on profiling after the jump.

Just finished a great resource for Qualrus users (or future users)…our first training screencast “Qualrus Primer“. In under five minutes it shows you how to get started with your qualitative data analysis project. Not bad!
This will be the first of many Qualrus training videos showing you how to get the most out of the world’s most intelligent data analysis tool. The next one will teach you more about coding and organizing your coding scheme.
I also posted some Qualrus scripts on the support page. Scripts allow you to expand the capabilities of Qualrus with customized reports. I took our most requested scripts and posted them online for your downloading pleasure…totally free for anyone with a Qualrus license.
Enjoy!
